A black smoke, Mistyfalcon's fur is mostly dark gray and black. The fur on his paws, belly, chest, neck and on most of his tail is edged in white, making what would otherwise be similar to a typical tuxedo whitespotting pattern a dusty silver-gray in color. There are some hints of darker striping along his legs and flanks, as well. His eyes are a deep blue in color. His fur is about the length of a typical medium-haired cat, but thick, with slightly longer fur on his tail. He's long-limbed and fairly lean, not really built for strength.

Punctures from a dog's bite line the left side of his face, and a jagged slash runs from the lower edge of his left eye down to his chin, splitting the corner of his lip in the process, which has left his expression slightly crooked as a result. His left ear is in tatters and his right ear has a chunk missing (similar to Brightheart's artwork from The Ultimate Guide/Cats of the Clans). There are two small punctures high on his right foreleg from a snake bite.

Fairly quiet and soft-spoken, and often the type to fade into the background of most group conversations, Mistyfalcon is rather introverted and shy. He sees little need for long, drawn-out conversations and if left on his own could probably go for days without talking and be fine with it. His short answers and direct nature can make him seem rather off-putting, and he is okay with that. He's not entirely antisocial and can open up quite a bit and even be downright chatty with those he trusts, but he's slow to warm up to others in general, even with those he gets along with Mistyfalcon is rather laconic. Many would be surprised to learn that he does in fact have a sarcastic sense of humor, and can even be affectionate with those whose company he truly enjoys. He's surprisingly observant despite his tendency to fade into the background of conversation, and very loyal to both family and clan.

Mistyfalcon is a very honest cat, sometimes to the point of being rude. He sees no need to sugarcoat his words and isn't particularly diplomatic as he can come off rather harsh. That said he is always truthful with his words, and if says he'll do something, he will do it. If he thinks someone needs to be told something for their own good, he won't be shy about saying what needs to be said (though he is aware enough to usually do it in private rather than publicly embarrass someone). He does not enjoy or appreciate subterfuge or mind games and has no patience for those who try to take advantage of others. As such has very little tolerance for lying, and it's the quickest way to break his trust completely. If another cat has an issue with him, he'd rather they tell him to his face rather than talk about him behind his back or pretend that nothing was wrong.

While Mistyfalcon is honest, he also believes that rules can and should be broken on occasion if following them would cause more harm than good, and is no real stickler about following the warrior code or Starclan. In fact, one could easily say he's a heretic, as while he acknowledges their existence, but to him they are dead cats and should be left to rest. He won't go out of his way to spite them, but if it naturally happens he won't lose any sleep over it.
